Township of South Algonquin Administration Department is responsible for financial matters including accounting, record keeping, preparing Council agendas and minutes, implementing Council direction and initiatives, website management, elections, communications, by-laws, budgeting and reporting.
The Clerk's Department is the corporate office for the Township of South Algonquin and the holder of the corporate seal. All official corporate business is processed through this Department.
To act as corporate coordinator in accordance with the decision of Council to facilitate interdepartmental efficiency. To perform statutory duties and exercise the responsibilities of CAO/Clerk-Treasurer as as outlined in the Municipal Act, 2001. To advise Council and Committees and to implement and administer the objectives, policies and programs established and approved by Council, in accordance with all applicable legislation and by-laws.

To provide general administrative assistance to Department Heads ensuring that all municipal and legislative policies are met, to take minute, compile payroll and accounts receivable and produce reports for Council and Committee meetings. To perform statutory duties and exercise the responsibilities of Deputy Clerk as assigned by the CAO/Clerk-Treasurer as outlined in the Deputy Clerk- job description and in the Municipal Act, 2001.

Reporting to the CAO/Clerk-Treasurer, The Finance Clerk is responsible for the preparation and maintenance of all financial records of the Corporation under the direction and guidance of the CAO/Clerk-Treasurer and Finance Manager (who is an objective subcontracted individual). The duties will be performed within the legislative and regulatory standards set out in pertinent Provincial and Municipal legislation, and consistent with applicable municipal by-laws and policies.

Municipal Operations Clerk
Reporting directly to the CAO/Clerk Treasurer, the Municipal Operations Clerk will provide operational support and assistance to the Public Works, Building and Planning Departments by performing routine secretarial, clerical and receptionist duties, responds to the general public inquiries in the absence of the Works Superintendent and the Chief Building Official/By-Law Enforcement Officer.
